My name is Meghan Vickers and I live in downtown Idaho Springs with my husband and two small children; we have lived here since 2012. We are avid users of the Rec Center and feel very strongly about the success of the District as a whole.
I am currently a stay-at-home mom but I spent 14 years working in Evergreen at the Hiwan Homestead Museum as the Program Coordinator, overseeing special events and general programming, exhibits and collections care. My last two years I served as the overall site coordinator before I decided to stay home with my children full time in 2018. I have continued to coordinate large events such as the Dam Ducky Derby in downtown Evergreen and the Pumpkin Smash in Idaho Springs. I also have served on the Historic Preservation Review Commission (HPRC) in Idaho Springs since 2013 and have been the Chairperson since 2018.
I am passionate about the Clear Creek community and look forward to ensuring that CCMRD is open, transparent and inclusive to all.
