Hi all, my name is Scott Yard. My wife and I live in Lawson, CO and we have two beautiful baby girls. We own and operate Smokin Yard's BBQ in Idaho Springs. My family moved to county in 1986 and it does not seem likely we will be leaving anytime soon. My brothers and I were avid Rec center patrons in the 90's as children and today we are still using the facilities on a regular basis for exercise. My children regularly use the pool and I'm excited to get them enrolled in the various programs that we have to offer as they come of age.
I believe CCMRD is one of the fabrics that holds our community together and the health and wellbeing of it is of upmost importance. As a board member, I look forward to my role in helping shape some of the decision that will make our county one of the best places to raise a family in Colorado.
