I am very honored actually to be a part of this board and I see it as an opportunity to help bring together important parts of the community and to help the dedication and vision that is here, to really emerge and breathe. Also, I really like having complex problems to tackle and feel like with my role at the county and my background in outdoor education and nonprofit leadership that I am in a good position to help.
I am an artist. I make cut paper on plywood collages and am working on a project of 15 panels that will be a children's book. And I have a goldendoodle. And I wear almost exclusively second hand clothes.
I like paddling a lot. Canoeing especially. I spent most of my Outward Bound years in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area of northern Minnesota and have spent several hundred days with a paddle in my hand, camping and traveling there. These days I would probably choose car camping though.
