I'm Ben Shay and I was born and raised right here in Clear Creek County. I'm passionate about all things the great outdoors, be it trail running, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, kayaking, fishing—if it gets me out the door, I'm in! I am currently the Youth Involvement Coordinator at Mountain Youth Network an initiative committed to improving the well being of all young people in out community. I've been an outdoor educator and professional guide for over a decade. It's given me an insight into how powerful the outdoors can be in bettering our own lives. A connection to movement and the outdoors is something I believe our community needs and wants. I'm eager to bring my passion and perspective to the board and know that the Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District will continue to offer this mountain community amazing opportunities to engage, connect and thrive.
