CCMRD has multiple scholarship programs available funded by its charitable partner, Slacker Half Marathon and the Slackers Committee. CCMRD believes that residents should have access to recreation services regardless of ability to pay.

CCMRD’s Scholarship programs provide financial assistance to residents for access to youth programs. Scholarship Requests must be submitted no later than 2 weeks before the program or event starts.

DINNER with SANTA and Mrs Claus

The gym at the Recreation Center will be transformed into the North Pole. Dinner is open to the first 50 children (12 & under) who buy a $7 ticket. (includes admission to the Dive-in-Movie). Each child will receive a special gift when they attend the dinner. Santa will be present, playing games and entertaining the children. A hot chocolate and coffee bar will be provided for parents.

Youth Basketball League

The CCMRD Youth Basketball League is a fun, recreational league stressing teamwork and sportsmanship while teaching the fundamentals of the game. League is open to boys and girls grades 3-6 and teams will be split by school and grade. Teams practice once a week (beginning the week of January 16) and will play once a week beginning on February 1. Parent coaches and score keepers needed!

Just because leaves are falling doesn’t mean it is time to put away the skateboard! Join Clear Creek Rec as we hit up Woodward at Copper!

Participants must be comfortable skateboarding on their own. Pointers and tips will be given, but this is not an instructional class. Participants must bring their own equipment (skateboard, pads, helmet) as well as sack lunch and snacks for the day. Helmet is required for participation. Minimum/Maximum numbers on all trips. Please sign up in advance. Keep an eye open for Woodward trips to be scheduled over the winter break as well!

This American Red Cross course is designed for 11-15 year olds and helps prepare them for those first babysitting opportunities. Instruction includes parent and sitter responsibilities; how to perform routine care such as feeding, bathing, and diapering; major elements of home and sitter safety; basic infant/child growth and development along with appropriate activities; fire hazards and escape; and how to provide minor injury treatment or handle an emergency.
