There are also many mental and emotional benefits including promotion of self-confidence, creativity, and community. Making it a wonderful activity for overall health of the woman's body. Dawn started dancing in 2010, where she found a passion unlike any other. Her intuitive approach brings forth astyle that is engaging and encouraging while creating an environment that is positive, relaxed, and fun!

The TriBe is open to all adults, at any skill level, who would like to find fitness, friendship, and fun with workouts that will include a variety of sports. The concentration will be on swimming, cycling, and running, (triathlon events) but additional activities include cross-country skiing, hiking, yoga, weights and Pilates. Members may use the sessions to help train for a specific event, but training sessions are always open for general fitness training purposes and good times, living healthy. You do not have to be a triathlete to join us, you just have to want to challenge yourself and try new things. Check with the front desk for weekly schedules and they do vary! Volleyball League

Bump, Set, Spike!! Get ready for an adult volleyball league coming in February. League will be 8 to 10 weeks depending on the number of registered teams and will be played at the Rec Center gym in Idaho Springs. League champions will receive a championship T-shirt. Co-Ed Dodge Ball League

Are you an Ordinary Joe or a Viper? Adult Dodgeball is back! League will start in March and play once a week for 8-10 weeks depending on number of teams. Games will be played at the Rec Center gym in Idaho Springs. Ideally teams will have 8 to 12 players with 8 players participating at a time. Feel free to solicit sponsorship from local businesses or design your own team jersey. More information to follow.

Hike with a Shelter Dog

Clear Creek Recreation and Charlie’s Place Animal Shelter are teaming up to offer Hike with a Shelter Dog the 3rd Monday of each month. Hikes will leave from Charlie’s Place Animal Shelter, 500 W. Dumont Rd, Dumont at 10:00am. Cost is free and please sign up in advance at the Clear Creek Recreation Center (303-567-4822) or online.

Dog Obedience Classes

Clear Creek Recreation and Charlie’s Place Animal Shelter are teaming up to offer introductory dog obedience clinics. Clinics, taught by Casey Newman, will focus on basic obedience and agility. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and non-aggressive. (Individual one-on-one classes can be set up for aggressive dogs.) Clinic dates/times TBA. Weight & Cardio Guidelines

Children 8 and under are not allowed on weight or cardio machines.

Children 9 – 13 must be under the direct supervision (within arm’s length) by someone 18 or older to use weight and cardio machines.

Children 14-16 may use weight and cardio equipment alone after completing a weight-room orientation program with a CCMRD staff member.


Do you need to know how to use the weight room equipment?

A Personal Trainer will give an overview of equipment and familiarize you with our weight room!

Stop by the Front Desk for more information.

Youth 14 to 16 must complete an orientation before they can use the equipment without a parent.
